Sick and Tired
"Exam is less than 5 weeks away. Have to study!"
"SPM will determine your future! Study!"
"Better score in your SPM, START STUDYING"
"No need to study meh? Everyday type letters and on the internet?"
"Have you started studying?"
"Han Yi, you got 12 in class but you see some people didn't take all their tests. So probably not 12."
"Do you need Biology tuition or not?"
I am really fed up. It keeps repeating over and over again. Like a spoilt tape recorder.
It's like when I was having my PMR. After one year of peace, it repeats again.
Will it EVER end?
What's the point in scoring A's in SPM?
So what if i had 10 A1's for my SPM? SO WHAT?
Does that mean that i'll make a good physiotherapist or a good pharmacist?
So what if i can memorise the whole text book and sit for my exam cracking my head to think of the answer?
All i get is an A in my cert.
And they say it'll help me in future. but would it make me a good physiotherapist? WOULD IT?
Does it mean that spending money and time just to make sure i get 10 A1s for SPM would make me a caring and good physiotherapist?
If getting 10 A1s for SPM would make me a very good physiotherapist. Then maybe just maybe, I'd beat my ass off memorizing all the text books thrown at me so that i can acomplish my goals of life with "flying colours".
Instead, we have exams where we are tested on how good our memory is. If reciting the definitions of moral would make you a succesful person. I'd work my brains to the very maximum just so that i can be someone the whole world would look up to.
Why are we turning into text-book-eating-monsters?
Just because of our exam-obsessed culture.
"Eh. How much you got?"
"FAIL AH?"
"Eh, my mum will kill me i didn't get an A1 for my moral. HOW?"
We seriously need to stop this frenzy about A1s, tuitions and all the kiasu-ness in everyone of us.
This has to stop.
But who would care?
In every single soul who has to bear with Malaysia's silly education system, i know they have the exact same thought as i'm having.
But I'd emphasize on who would care again.
Who would care?
Everybody just seems to go with the flow.
Why?
Because we're actually adopting the "kiasu-ness" of our fellow neighbouring country.
When will this ever stop?
My honest opinion?
This "trend" would last until there is a generation where they were the afterlife of Einstien/Newton/all the geniuses in the world. Then, they'd start with a better education system..
So till then, we'd still be doing this.
"Eh, how much you got for your add maths?"
"98!!!! sigh"
"how u lost your 2 marks?"
"don't know lah, the teacher against me lah. knnccb. minus my marks eventhough i got 100% for my add maths. #@$@"
"HAR? really ah? i got 100%.. *smiles with a wide grin*"
and the person who got 98% would've feel like a sore loser eventhough it was just 2 marks away to smiling like a dumbass.
And we love our country because?
