A Dream..
She was forced to take a risk,
to trust that stranger she met not long ago.
She was forced to hear what she didn't want to,
was forced to accept something never wanted.
She was forced to live in a world of darkness,
where nothing could be seen, only heard.
She finally knew how to appreciate things she had,
only when she knew she was going to lose it.
She teared every time she looked at him,
knowing it might be the last time she would be able to look at him.
She was forced to leave the one she loved, not to hurt him but to make him live a better life.
She was forced to lie, to not destroy his bright future.
She was forced to say goodbye,
without him seeing her cry.
He tried his very best,
to bring her into his own world.
They were from two different worlds,
it was like the love of a cat and a dog.
He had all the confidence in their love,
She never did.
Every time she said no,
he smiled and told her yes.
Every time she thought it was never meant to be,
he smiled again and said it was meant to be.
Again and again,
she let him down.
Until one day,
he gave up trying,
he gave up dreaming,
he gave up reminding her of what they had,
and, He finally left.
She stood aside,
hiding behind that tree.
She teared as she witnessed him leaving,
She teared as she knew it was the last time,
She would be seeing him ever in his life,
She teared as she told him in her heart,
how much she loved him,
and how she didn't want to be his burden,
she teared as he drove away.
That was it,
the very last scene she saw,
before she entered the world of darkness.
Never once did she forget about the love they had,
not once did she forget how much he missed him,
not once did she forget who he was to her,
and that very place they made two decades ago.
Every night,
she thought about him,
wondering what he was doing,
wondering where he was,
wondering who was he with.
She didn't know if what she did was the right thing to do,
She always had second thoughts,
but she never regretted as he could live a better life.
As she made her last wish,
she wished of his happiness hoping that little angel they believed in would help her make her wish come true.
That was it.
the end of the fairy tale they had.
That was it,
he was not there for her,
and she not there for him....
because sometimes,
we only learn to appreciate,
when we lose what and who we took for granted.
